How to Humanize ChatGPT Text on iPhone, Step by Step

Copy a ChatGPT reply, paste it into AI Humanizer, pick an intensity, purpose and reading level, and review the rewrite, all on your iPhone.

Published 3 min read

To humanize ChatGPT text on your iPhone, copy the reply from the ChatGPT app, paste it into the AI Humanizer app, choose an intensity, a purpose and a reading level, and tap Humanize Text. Review the result, then copy it into Mail, Notes or wherever it's going. Here is each step in detail.

What you need

  • An iPhone with iOS 16 or later, or an iPad with iPadOS 16 or later.
  • The ChatGPT app, or any app that holds the text you want to rewrite.
  • AI Humanizer from the App Store. It's free to download, with optional in-app purchases.

Step 1: Copy the reply from ChatGPT

In the ChatGPT app, copy the reply you want to rewrite. Use the copy option below the reply, or touch and hold the text to select and copy it. If you only need part of a long answer, select just that part.

Step 2: Paste it into the Humanizer

Open AI Humanizer. The Humanizer is the first tab. Tap the Input Text box and paste.

The counter above the box shows how many characters you've added. If your text is longer than the limit, humanize it in parts, a few paragraphs at a time.

The Humanizer tab: paste your text, then choose the three settings.

Step 3: Choose the settings

The Humanizer has three settings:

  • Humanization Intensity: Low, Medium or High. The app describes Medium as a balanced transformation for natural flow, so it's a sensible place to start.
  • Purpose: General, Academic, Business or Creative. Pick the one closest to where the text will be used.
  • Literacy Level: Elementary, High School, College or Graduate. This sets how simple or advanced the result reads.

These combinations are good starting points. They are rules of thumb, so adjust them to taste:

You're writing…PurposeLiteracy Level
An email to a colleague or clientBusinessCollege
A social media postCreative or GeneralHigh School
A draft of your own essayAcademicCollege
A message to a friendGeneralHigh School

Step 4: Humanize and review

Tap Humanize Text, then read the Humanized Result next to your original. Check that:

  • names, numbers and dates are unchanged
  • small words that carry meaning, like "not", "only" and "usually", are still there
  • it sounds like you; edit any line that doesn't

If the change is too strong or too light, try a different intensity and run it again.

A ChatGPT-drafted team reminder

Original

Dear Team, I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to remind everyone that the project deadline is approaching on Friday. Please ensure that all deliverables are submitted on time. Thank you for your cooperation.

Rewritten

Hi team, quick reminder that the project is due on Friday. Please get your deliverables in on time. Thanks, everyone!

Step 5: Copy it where it's going

Tap Copy, then paste the result into Mail, Notes, Messages or your document.

Optional: check it with the AI Detector

The result screen also has a Check AI Detection button, which runs the app's AI Detector on the rewrite. The result is an estimate of how likely the text is to be AI-written, not a pass or fail grade and not proof of anything. The AI Detector page explains what the score means.

Find it again in History

Your humanized results are saved in History. You can search them, filter by Humanizer or Detector, expand an entry to read it again, or remove everything with Clear All.

On iPad

The steps are the same on iPad. The Humanizer, Detector, History and Settings tabs run along the top of the screen instead of the bottom.

Tips for better results

  • Fix the facts first. Humanizing changes the wording, not the accuracy. Correct anything wrong in the ChatGPT reply before you rewrite it.
  • Work in paragraphs. Complete paragraphs give the rewrite more context than single sentences.
  • Add your own details afterwards. A specific example or a line in your own words does more for a text than any setting.
  • Don't keep rewriting the same text. Each pass can drift a little further from what you meant. If a version is close, finish it by hand.

Using it responsibly

AI Humanizer is meant to make text clearer and more natural to read. If your school, employer or publisher has rules about AI-assisted writing, follow them, and be honest if someone asks how a text was written.
